Homemade Pie Crust
Skillet Chocolate Chip Cookie
- 2 1/2 c flour
- 1 T sugar
- 1 t salt
- 2 sticks chilled unsalted butter, cubed
- bowl ice water
Sift together flour, sugar and salt, rub butter in until it resembles corn meal. Add ice water by the tablespoon and until dough comes together, it should only take 2-3 T and you should try to handle the dough as little as possible. Shape the dough into a ball, wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours before rolling out. When rolling out dough, handle it as little as possible and make sure to flour your surface, hands and rolling pin sufficiently.

Skillet Chocolate Chip Cookie
Ingredients:
- 2 c flour
- 1 t baking powder
- 1/2 t salt
- 3/4 c unsalted butter, softened
- 1 1/4 c sugar
- 1 egg
- 2 t vanilla
- 2 t honey
- 2 t Nutella
- 2 c chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Whisk together flour, baking powder and salt. Cream butter and sugar, then add egg, vanilla, honey and Nutella mixing well after each addition. Beat in flour mixture, do not over mix. Stir in chocolate chips. Press dough into 8" cast iron skillet and bake 40 minutes. Cool 10 minutes, serve warm by the slice with ice cream and salted caramel sauce.
